How ATMO Events collects, uses and protects your personal data.
Last updated: August 2026
Personal data provided by you may be stored and used according to the legal provisions valid for the country in which this website is maintained. ATMO Events may include links to other websites that are not covered by this notice, and will use your personal data only to the extent necessary in each specific case.
Privacy Policy
We are very pleased that you have shown interest in our enterprise. Data protection is a high priority for the management of shecco SPRL. The use of the Internet pages of shecco SPRL is possible without any indication of personal data; however, if a data subject wants to use special enterprise services via our website, processing of personal data could become necessary. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no statutory basis for such processing, we generally obtain consent from the data subject.
The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to shecco SPRL. By means of this data protection declaration, our enterprise would like to inform the general public of the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, use and process, and to inform data subjects of the rights to which they are entitled.
As the controller, shecco SPRL has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmission may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g. by telephone.
1. Definitions
The data protection declaration of shecco SPRL is based on the terminology used by the European legislator for the adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our data protection declaration should be legible and understandable for the general public, as well as our customers and business partners.
- a) Personal data: Any information pertaining to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”) — someone who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or factors specific to their physical, physiological, genetic, economic, cultural or social identity.
- b) Data subject: Any identified or identifiable natural person whose personal data is processed by the controller responsible for the processing.
- c) Processing: Any operation performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means — collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation, retrieval, use, disclosure, combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
- d) Restriction of processing: The marking of stored personal data with the aim of limiting its processing in the future.
- e) Profiling: Any form of automated processing of personal data used to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person — in particular to analyse or predict their performance at work, economic situation, health, preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, location or movements.
- f) Pseudonymisation: Processing personal data such that it can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without additional information, provided that information is kept separately under appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
- g) Controller: The natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
- h) Processor: A natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.
- i) Recipient: A natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body to which personal data is disclosed, whether a third party or not.
- j) Third party: A natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and those authorised to process personal data under their direct authority.
- k) Consent: Any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject's wishes, by a statement or clear affirmative action, signifying agreement to the processing of their personal data.
2. Name and address of the controller
Controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), other data protection laws applicable in member states of the European Union, and other provisions related to data protection is:
shecco SPRL Avenue de la Chasse 133/135 1040 Brussels Belgium
Email: info@atmo.org Website: conferences.atmosphere.cool
3. Cookies
The Internet pages of shecco SPRL use cookies — text files stored on a computer system via an Internet browser. Through the use of cookies, shecco SPRL can provide the users of this website with more user-friendly services that would not be possible without the cookie setting, and can recognise our website users so it's easier for them to use our website across visits.
The data subject may, at any time, prevent the setting of cookies through our website by means of a corresponding setting of the Internet browser used, and may thus permanently deny the setting of cookies. Already-set cookies may also be deleted at any time via the browser or other software. If cookies are deactivated, not all functions of our website may be entirely usable.
4. Collection of general data and information
The website of shecco SPRL collects a series of general data and information when a data subject or automated system calls up the website. This general data and information is stored in the server log files: the browser types and versions used, the operating system used, the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (the referrer), the sub-websites visited, the date and time of access, an Internet protocol (IP) address, the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and any other similar data that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.
When using this general data and information, shecco SPRL does not draw any conclusions about the data subject. This information is needed to deliver the content of our website correctly, optimize our website and its content, ensure the long-term viability of our systems, and — in the event of a cyber-attack — provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution. The anonymous data of the server log files is stored separately from any personal data provided by a data subject.
5. Subscription to our newsletters
On our website, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter. shecco SPRL informs its customers and business partners regularly by means of a newsletter about enterprise offers. The newsletter may only be received by a data subject who has a valid e-mail address and registers for the newsletter shipping — a confirmation e-mail is sent using the double opt-in procedure, for legal reasons, to prove that the owner of the e-mail address is authorised to receive it.
During registration, we also store the IP address of the computer system used at the time of registration, and the date and time of registration, in order to understand the possible misuse of an e-mail address at a later date and to serve the legal protection of the controller.
The personal data collected as part of a newsletter registration is only used to send the newsletter, and is not transferred to third parties. The subscription may be terminated by the data subject at any time — a corresponding unsubscribe link is found in each newsletter, or you can contact the controller directly.
6. Newsletter tracking
Our newsletters contain tracking pixels — miniature graphics embedded in HTML e-mails that enable log file recording and analysis, allowing shecco SPRL to see if and when an e-mail was opened and which links were called up. This data is stored and analyzed to optimize the shipping of the newsletter and adapt future content, and is not passed on to third parties. Data subjects may at any time revoke their consent, after which the data is deleted; unsubscribing from the newsletter is automatically treated as such a revocation.
7. Contact via the website
The website of shecco SPRL contains information that enables quick electronic contact, including a general e-mail address. If a data subject contacts the controller by e-mail or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted is automatically stored — solely for the purpose of processing the contact or getting in touch with the data subject. There is no transfer of this personal data to third parties.
8. Routine erasure and blocking of personal data
The controller processes and stores personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as granted by applicable law. If the storage purpose no longer applies, or a legally prescribed storage period expires, the personal data is routinely blocked or erased in accordance with legal requirements.
9. Rights of the data subject
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@atmo.org.
- a) Right of confirmation: You may obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed, by contacting the controller at any time.
- b) Right of access: You may obtain free information about your stored personal data and a copy of it, including the purposes of processing, categories of data, recipients, envisaged storage period, and your other rights under the GDPR.
- c) Right to rectification: You may obtain rectification of inaccurate personal data, or have incomplete personal data completed.
- d) Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): You may obtain erasure of your personal data without undue delay where, among other grounds, it's no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected, you withdraw consent, or it was unlawfully processed.
- e) Right of restriction of processing: You may obtain restriction of processing where, for example, you contest the accuracy of the data or oppose its erasure and request restriction of use instead.
- f) Right to data portability: You may receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and transmit it to another controller, where technically feasible.
- g) Right to object: You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interests — including profiling — and to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time.
- h) Automated individual decision-making, including profiling: You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you, subject to the exceptions set out in the GDPR.
- i) Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time.
10. Google Analytics 4
On this website, the controller uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, on behalf of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States. Web analytics is the collection and analysis of data about the behavior of visitors to websites, used to optimize this website and understand the performance of our event marketing.
GA4 does not store full IP addresses: the IP address is used only to derive an approximate location and is then discarded, rather than being logged against a data subject as earlier versions of Google Analytics did. GA4 sets cookies and comparable identifiers on the data subject's device; with each visit, data such as pages viewed, session duration, device and browser type, approximate location and referral source may be transmitted to and processed by Google.
Google self-certifies under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognized as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred from the EEA to the United States (see Section 12, “International data transfers”, below).
The data subject may prevent the setting of cookies at any time via their browser settings, decline analytics cookies through this website's cookie banner where one is presented, or object to data collection by Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Further information and Google's applicable data protection provisions are available at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/.
11. YouTube
On this website, the controller has integrated components of YouTube, an Internet video portal operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, United States, a subsidiary of Google LLC.
With each call-up to a page of this site on which a YouTube component (a YouTube video) is integrated, the browser is automatically prompted to download a display of the corresponding YouTube component, during which YouTube and Google gain knowledge of which specific sub-page was visited. If the data subject is logged in to YouTube at the time, this information is collected and assigned to their YouTube account — regardless of whether they click on a video or not. This transmission may be prevented by logging out of YouTube before visiting our website.
YouTube's data protection provisions, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy, provide further information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by YouTube and Google.
12. International data transfers
Some of the third-party services integrated into this website — including Google Analytics and YouTube — are provided by companies that process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the safeguards recognized under the GDPR: primarily the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transfers to self-certified U.S. organizations, and, where a recipient is not certified under that framework, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
You may request further information about the specific safeguards applied to a given transfer by contacting us at info@atmo.org.
13. Data security and incident response
We maintain technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure, and review these measures periodically as our systems and the threat landscape evolve.
In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of data subjects, we will notify the competent supervisory authority without undue delay in accordance with Art. 33 GDPR and, where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to those rights and freedoms, inform the affected data subjects directly in accordance with Art. 34 GDPR.
14. Legal basis for the processing
Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific purpose. Where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party — for example, to supply goods or provide a service — the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, which also applies to pre-contractual measures such as inquiries about our services. Where shecco SPRL is subject to a legal obligation requiring the processing of personal data, such as for tax purposes, the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. In rare cases, processing may be based on Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person. Finally, processing may be based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR where it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests or those of a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the data subject's interests or fundamental rights.
15. Legitimate interests pursued by the controller
Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest is to carry out our business in favour of the well-being of our employees and shareholders.
16. Period for which personal data is stored
The criterion used to determine the storage period is the respective statutory retention period. After that period expires, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfilment or initiation of a contract.
17. Provision of personal data as a statutory or contractual requirement
The provision of personal data is sometimes required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or by contract (e.g. information on a contractual partner) — for example, when shecco SPRL signs a contract with a data subject, its provision is necessary to conclude that contract, and its non-provision would mean the contract could not be concluded. Before providing personal data, a data subject may contact us to clarify whether its provision is required by law, contract, or necessary to conclude a contract, and the consequences of not providing it.
18. Automated decision-making and profiling
As a responsible company, we do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. Where analytics or other AI-assisted tools are used on this website, they operate on aggregated or pseudonymised data to help us understand website usage, and are not used to make decisions about individual data subjects.
19. Collection of data and information: events and conferences
If you register for an event through our website, or by telephone or any other means, we may collect personal data including your name, job title, company, address, telephone number and email — necessary so that we can complete your registration and provide you with relevant event materials.
By attending an event, you agree that the data you submit can be given to, viewed and used by sponsors or presenter organizations to contact you for their own purposes. You can revoke this at any time with future effect by contacting our team at info@atmo.org.
If you have any question that wasn’t answered here, please reach our team at info@atmo.org and we’ll come back to you as soon as we can.
