Keynote: The Business Case for Natural Refrigerants —Why End Users Are Making the Switch

Wynand Groenewald delivered a keynote on how end users can save money with natural refrigerants, and find certainty in uncertain times. He addressed the benefits of natural refrigerants with real-world examples from commercial and industrial refrigeration, showing how businesses can future-proof against regulations, stay ahead of evolving policies, reduce operational costs, and achieve cooling efficiency.

Policy & Standards Session

This session provided critical insights from leading policymakers and industry representatives on the challenges and opportunities in today’s evolving regulatory landscape.

Refrigeration Market Trends

Leading North American suppliers delivered strategic and visionary presentations, highlighting recent success stories, key lessons learned, ongoing challenges, and future plans for natural refrigerant-based technologies.

Refrigeration Case Studies – Part 1

Case studies presented by leading manufacturers, about commercial and industrial applications of natural refrigerants.

Refrigeration Case Studies – Part 2

Keynote: Forecasting the Future in a Time of Tariffs – How to Future-Proof your Business

The session explored how tariffs – and the threat of tariffs – are impacting the future of the natural refrigerant industry and outline steps to future-proof businesses. It address the uncertainty tariffs bring to the full supply chain, who is most affected, and the key impacts on the HVAC&R and natural refrigerant sectors. Strategies for identifying opportunities amidst these challenges will be discussed, along with tools to spot both opportunities and threats, and a look at major competing industry trends.

Heat Pumps Market Trends and Overcoming Barriers to Propane Adoption

The session delved into the latest heat pump market trends in the US and around the world. We explored the increasing adoption of propane heat pumps globally and focus on the barriers to their widespread introduction in North America, along with the solutions needed to overcome these challenges.

Heat Pump Case Studies

Presenter covered the growing demand for heat pump solutions in North America, the potential of natural refrigerants to capture market share, and the potential and significant energy savings offered by natural heat pump solutions.

HFOs and TFA: The Growing Threat of PFAS

This session explored why f-gases such as HFOs are considered PFAS and how their atmospheric degradation product trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is proliferating in the environment and turning up in human blood, with potential health implications.

Unlocking Funding for Natural Refrigerants

Explore the current and future landscape of funding programs for natural refrigerants. NASRC will present insights from the $65 Million CARB FRIP program and provide a roadmap for future funding opportunities. Danielle Wright , Executive Director , North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC)

End Users Panel
